Oil Palm Plantations
Our upstream business segment comprises oil palm plantations in Indonesia with a total nucleus land bank of more than 100,000 ha of which about 74,000 ha is developed
Plantations are spread across 4 locations – Central Kalimantan, West Kalimantan, East Kalimantan and West Papua.
Supporting infrastructure for the plantations segment includes 8 CPO Mills, 2 kernel crushing plants and 2 bulking stations.

Goodhope has a proven track-record of developing greenfield. We have adopted best in class practises including efficient and innovative agronomy practices for generating high yields and oil extraction rates. Our plantations have strong local management teams embedded with deep functional experience. There are more than 10,000 workers at our plantations. We have also leveraged Information Technology systems from an early stage with all our plantations linked by satellite.
We have a strong social and environmental commitment. Goodhope has been a RSPO member since 2014 (with our oldest subsidiaries being RSPO members since 2006). We adopted No Deforestation, No Peat, No Exploitation (NDPE) policy in May 2017.

Specialty Oils and FatsOil Palm Plantations
Our downstream segment, under the Premium Group, comprises a fully integrated specialty fats facility in Pasir Gudang, Malaysia.
We acquired the Premium Group of companies in 2011; today, it is an established player with over 40 years of industry expertise. Premium manufactures a range of customized fats catering to many industries including chocolate & confectionery, dairy & ice cream and biscuit & bakery, encompassing specialty fats, shortenings, cooking oils, butter blends and margarines. Products can also be customized to individual customer requirements and specifications. Premium caters to a diverse base of more than 200 customers in over 50 countries, consisting of large multinationals, leading regional food producers and many national or local customers. In 2019, we entered into joint-venture with Mitsui group company, J Oil Mills, the Japanese market leader in oils and fats manufacturing that counts Mitsui (12.4%) and Ajinomoto (27.0%) as shareholders.
